Dragons of Genovia
Lake Sian is the largest lake in Vallonde and is home to a unique species of freshwater crab: the Fluvia. Fluvias are the lifeblood of the economy of towns surrounding the lake and are exported throughout the kingdom.
The water from the lake also feeds into the two largest towns of Vallonde, providing them with water supply.
During the Third Vallonese War against Indond, a force from Indond managed to put a large amount of poison in Lake Sian, resulting in several thousand deaths of the people of Cabel and Tristoc. The lake recovered after the incident however, and surprisingly enough, the crabs resisted the poison. Seen as a sign of great strength, the Fluvia is a symbol Vallonde pride along with the bear, and there is even an industry to extracting Fluvia hearts in order to make potions of poison resistance. In fact, because of their high diet of Fluvias, many Vallonese are resistant to poisons, especially those living in the Sian region.
